Our mission

Our high standards of taste and our determination to pay homage to the terroir every year mean that we have to aim high in our approach and our excellence in vineyard management, using cutting-edge production methods that are also environmentally friendly.

Terroir

At the confluence of the Rhône and Ardèche rivers, hillsides and terraces criss-crossed by valleys reveal a wild landscape across a wide range of elevations. A region that combines relative coolness with a definite Mediterranean character. Spread over thirteen localities and made up of a variety of soils and subsoils at altitudes ranging from 80 to 330 metres, our vineyards enjoy unique exposure to sunlight. The low-lying terroir consists of clay-limestone terraces facing the Rhône, covered with stony alluvial deposits. On the higher ground, the terroir is garrigue land made up of limestone marl.

Grape varieties

The mix of grape varieties is unique: a mosaic in 20 shades, made up of historic grape varieties (with some vines over 70 years old) and a complex palette of “exotic” varieties. For the reds, there are: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Couston, Counoise, Marselan, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Tannat, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Touriga and Graciano.
And for the whites: Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc,

An HVE, ORGANIC & BIODYNAMIC ecosystem

The use of unusual but above all resistant grape varieties means we can considerably reduce inputs and protect against the effects of climate change. As part of a particularly respectful approach to the environment and biodiversity, our vineyard has just been awarded High Environmental Value (HVE) certification. Each plot is grassed over with species selected to reduce erosion and preserve the natural balance of the soil. No herbicides or synthetic fertilisers are used.
Since 2023, the estate has been certified Organic by ECOCERT and Biodynamic by DEMETER.

Haute Valeur Environmentale

Harvest

Particular care is taken at every stage of the harvest through to reception of the grapes: on-board sorting and weighing, transport of the berries in small trailers with separation of the juice, and a final rigorous visual selection by optical sorting. Picked at optimum phenolic ripeness, the grapes are kept intact with their best aromatic potential. Our variable-volume vat room, with 70 temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, offers the opportunity to vinify each plot separately.

Winemaking

Analysed and tasted daily, the wines are monitored constantly to ensure perfect control of the fermentation and aromatic development. These checks make it possible to optimise the intensity of the colour, the purity of the aromas and the finesse of the tannins. To create wines that are solar yet distinctly fresh, the blends are precise and delicate. Each year, the creative challenge is relaunched: to experiment and iterate, to surprise and arose emotions.
